Ratings:Rinnai has been one of the most consistent tankless water heater brands in terms of good email customer service. They obviously care about their customers,at least,on the emailing front. For email customer service,we give them our highest ratings 5 / 5 stars.

We asked Rinnai customer service a simple warranty question at this email address,crc-emailque@rinnai.us. We received a reply on April 21,2011. Two days response time is not great,but definitely better than nothing.

We emailed Rinnai another question. April 30th,2011 was a Saturday. Rinnai customer service replied to my simple question on May 4th,2011. We’re assuming that part of this is due to the number of emails that may have piled up over the weekend,but 3 working business days to respond? Not great.

We replied to their response above with another question. A response was received within 4 hours.

We sent another email with again a simple question. Received a reply within 30 minutes. Very nice response time,obviously this is within their normal business hours.

An email was sent asking for further information and a reply was received June 1,2011. Considering this was a Memorial holiday and with all of the emails that were surely accumulated for the weekend holidays,a 2 day business response time is quite good.
One thing we did notice was that Rinnai’s technical support representatives were very vigilant on Amazon and Greenbuilding.org and maybe they’ve been active on other sites we’ve not found as well. To us it seems that Rinnai is serious about their public image and about addressing any technical issues their customers are facing and this is one way they are showing that.
